Author's Corner Studio

Terms of Service

Last updated: 23 October 2026

These terms explain the rules for using Author's Corner Studio. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy.

1. About us

Author's Corner Studio ("we", "us") is a web app for writing, designing and self-publishing books, based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at Authors-corner-Studios@hotmail.com.

2. Your account

  • You must be 18 or over to create an account.
  • Please give accurate details and keep your login private. You're responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Each account is for one person. Please don't create extra accounts to get more free credits or free books.

3. Plans, payments and AI credits

  • You can use the free Explorer plan or pay for a plan. What each plan includes, and its price, is shown on the Pricing page.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel. If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • AI credits come with each plan as described on the Pricing page. They have no cash value and can't be transferred or exchanged for money.
  • If we change our prices, we'll tell you before the change affects you, and you can cancel if you don't want to continue.
  • If you're a consumer, you have legal rights, including rights about refunds, that these terms don't take away. If something isn't right, email us and we'll put it right in line with those rights.

4. Your writing belongs to you

You own the books, characters, stories and other content you create. You give us permission to store, process and display your content only as needed to run the app for you: for example, to save it, send it to AI providers when you use AI features, show it on the Marketplace if you list it, and send it to our print partner when you order copies. You can delete your content at any time.

You're responsible for your content. Please only upload or publish material you have the right to use, and nothing illegal, hateful, or that infringes someone else's rights.

5. AI features

Chris and our other AI tools can make mistakes, and AI-generated text or images can sometimes resemble existing work. Please read and check anything AI creates before you publish it. Some shops and publishers ask you to say whether a book used AI, so check their rules when you publish.

6. The Marketplace

  • Sellers are responsible for their listings, including the title, description, cover and price.
  • When you buy a book on the Marketplace, you get access to read it in the app for your own personal use. Please don't copy or share it.
  • Reviews must be honest and about the book.
  • We may remove listings or reviews that break these terms.

7. Printed copies

Printed copies are made and posted by our print partner, Lulu. Delivery dates are estimates. Please check your book's preview before you order, because copies are printed exactly from your files. If a copy arrives damaged or misprinted, email us and we'll work with our print partner to put it right.

8. Worldwide publishing guides

Our ebook and paperback guides help you publish through your own Lulu account. When you publish there, you're agreeing to Lulu's own terms, and your book is sold by Lulu and its retail partners, not by us. Shops make their own decisions about whether to list a book, so we can't guarantee that a book will be accepted.

9. Using the app fairly

Please don't:

  • try to hack, overload or get around the app's security or plan limits
  • copy, scrape or resell the app or other people's content
  • use the app or its AI features to create illegal or harmful content
  • pretend to be someone else

10. Suspending or closing accounts

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. If we do, we'll tell you why where we can. You can close your account at any time by emailing us.

11. Changes to the app and these terms

We're always improving the app, so features may change. We may update these terms too. We'll change the date at the top when we do, and tell you in the app if the changes are significant.

12. Our responsibility to you

We work hard to keep the app running well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors. We aren't responsible for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for lost profits or sales. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law doesn't allow it to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, and nothing affects your legal rights as a consumer.

13. The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
